This piece blossoms as a tribute to hope and renewal, inspired by the word “Nichim”, which means flower in the Tseltal language. It captures the delicacy of flowers adorning the path, bringing a gentle breeze that dispels negativity and offers a new beginning at every step.
The upper is crafted in black backstrap loom where women artisans dedicatedly embroidered a white design evoking the purity and contrast of a flower emerging from darkness. This artisanal intervention reflects the resilient spirit of those who transform threads into symbols of hope and beauty.
Nichim celebrates the connection between earth and spirit, reminding us there will always be flowers to guide the way, even in the darkest moments.
