Baní and Pawuamba collaborate to create a Zero Waste collection.
Zero Waste is crafted with the aim of ensuring that every raw material or resource used in creating a piece has been strategically considered to minimize environmental impact; essentially, doing more with less.
This collection emerges as a response to the environmental impact within the fashion industry, aiming to raise awareness about the waste generated in artisanal productions. It does so through designing unique pieces that showcase the exceptional talent of artisans in a colourful and vibrant manner.
Each sandal in this collaboration is uniquely produced; you won't find two alike as they are crafted from scraps of Pedal Loom woven by artisans in Oaxaca, taken from Baní's bag and clothing productions. This gives them a new life without losing the essence and legacy preserved in their embroideries and fabrics.
