MOOK brings together three distinctive southern Mexican techniques: the Maya backstrap loom, jipijapa weaving, and hand-carved reclaimed horn. This design combines a Maya loom base, reclaimed horn details, and delicately woven jipijapa circles.

MOOK symbolizes the bond among artisans and communities involved in the Peninsular Collection, embodying the pride and emotion of each social enterprise participating in this collaborative journey, transforming raw materials into unique, meaningful pieces.

Nude-colored flat sandal made from regenerated materials with comfort insole and off-white Mayan loom textile, assembled with cotton thread, reclaimed horn, and jipijapa weave. Semi-square toe finish.

CREATION TIME: 12 hour.

REGION: Yaxunah, Yucatán; Los Laureles and Tankuché, Campeche.

TECHNIQUE: Mayan loom, jipijapa weaving, and carved reclaimed bull horn.

UPPER: Textile. Mayan loom with cotton thread assembly, reclaimed bull horn, and jipijapa applications.

INSOLE: Special cushioned for enhanced comfort.

SOLE: Regenerated rubber.

COLOR: Off-white and multicolor (ranging from black to amber tones).
